To Halla's parents
We are young people from 20 to 30 years old, males and females, some of
us work, others study.
We live in Italy; we often meet virtually in Internet and sometimes we
really meet each other.
Of course we have different points of view: some of us are against any
kind of war; someone considers this adoption simply as a solidarity act.

Anyway, even if everyone decided to contribute for different reasons, we
all have the same intent of being, somehow, close to a person to whom
life has not given yet all its possibilities.
We would be pleased to correspond with you. That's why we would like to
know if it is possible to write you in English, otherwise we will keep on
in translating our letters into Arabic.
During the last monthes our country has been involved in a war in Kosovo
(ex-Yugoslavia); we have felt so much such near fightings that we feel
even closer to your daughter Halla.

Hi Halla!
We are happy to get in touch with you and your family.
We hope, with our letters, to better know each other. We are many
different people coming from different parts of Italy.
We all share the desire to know ather people and in fact we met thanks to
our computers that allow us to send messages to many people in the same time.
We discuss all topics from politics to cartoons!
Sometimes we meet personally and during these meetings we can better know
each other and spend some time together, going here and there in a city,
or to the seaside getting tanned and waiting for the moonlight to sing.
Of course we can not meet often because everyone has his own life:
someone work, some other study to find a satisfactory job.
There is also a child, Simone. He is 12 and he wants to write you personally
in fact you will find hi letter.
We really hope we can help you.

Hi Halla!
My name is Simone, I am 12 years old.
I don't have any brother or sister, I live in vidigulfo, near Pavia.
I stay at school from 8.15 to 13.15, then I do my homework and play with
my friends. I like fishing very much.
My father Walter works as security agent. My mother Simonetta is
housewife and goes to and fro in Vidigulfo for shopping.
Once I lived in Miano, then I moved here, and I am happy to be here.
My favourite sport is basket and I enjoy myself a lot riding my bike.
I don't like reading but I am good at drawing.
My favourite football team is Milan.
I would like you to tell me something about you.
